During the making of 'Identity Matters' (soon to be released) I had wanted to photograph the Loyalist Civil Rights Camp in North Belfast on Twaddell Avenue, but had yet to find the time (well...thats a bit of a white lie, the reality being I had yet to pluck up the courage to visit the camp given it's notoriety). Then one afternoon the BBC announced that Russell Brand had called into the infamous camp unannounced. This got me thinking...that if an international superstar comedian could just pop in, well so could I...so I did!
